I Love You More Than: A Bedtime Book for Baby

"Cuddle in my baby, snuggle up tight. As we get ready for stories and kisses goodnight."

As young creatures around the world get ready to fall asleep for the night, the narrator shares the sweet wishes that all parents want to bestow on their way into dreams. What follows are hopes that these children will remember how much they are loved. In fact, they are loved more than all the other natural wonders in the universe or the places frequented by their parents. Regardless of where their families live and what environment they are familiar with, the sentiments are the same. All the parents represented over the course of the story want their children to stay safe and to sleep well, because nothing is as precious as the special bond between them.

As the subtitle states, this book is meant ot be a bedtime book for a baby. It accomplishes that mission well with beautiful, full-color illustrations depicting many different animal families getting their babies ready for bed, as well as a story that reads more like a lullaby or a soothing poem. As such, it is very easy to imagine parents reading this book to their babies lying in a cradle or being held on their laps. There is a sweetness about the whole idea that is soothing and would make this a great title to reach for if the baby has trouble falling asleep or perhaps wakes up at night. On top of everything else, the importance of making a child feel safe and loved by their parents can never be overstated, and it's clear this story is the result of that kind of affection.
