"What matters most is that we put our Christian faith into practice."

In this work, the author examines the Christian life through a series of stories and her own impressions of how one might develop a relationship with Christ. The book is divided into twelve major sections according to the calendar. Each section is devoted to a month with a relevant theme. For example, January’s theme concerns beginnings, while February's concerns love. In each of these twelve major sections, there is an introduction to the theme followed by stories to illustrate that theme. Fiecke includes Bible verses that reinforce these themes. A major underlying theme is the importance of one’s relationship with others. “Every day we should be living in unity with each other. The healthy side of living is knowing we’re all linked together.” Another theme that is emphasized is the constancy of God. “One of the greatest messages ever told is that God does not change.”

Fiecke writes in a conversational and inviting manner, which lends itself to the reader’s understanding of the book’s themes. Her selection of stories that accompany each of the twelve sections is delightful and thought-provoking. It is evident throughout the work that Fiecke is compelled to share with readers the importance of God in her life so that they might also share in the faith that she lives. She relates how God has touched her personally and examines the nature of a loving God who longs for a relationship with humanity. She urges readers to seek God in times of despair and to trust Christ as their savior. “God has given us everything we need to know for salvation and eternal life. This informational book is called the Bible.” Readers will discover interesting and pertinent stories regarding God’s nature in this book.
