This book is a warning, especially for Black Americans, about the United States' dominance by AI because people heed technology rather than God. Stubblefield's belief is that God sets up nations to follow the Deity's plan. The author maintains that artificial intelligence has been encroaching on people in evil ways that will be this country’s downfall, just as other powerful nations historically have lost some of their strength and influence. The United States’ inability or unwillingness to live as a nation of faith is its doom and is reflected in sinister ways, particularly for Americans who are of African descent. The text contains many references to biblical passages to elucidate the author's points of view. Stubblefield views AI as the "god" that people of the US worship now and warns that it will destroy us.
The author's book is a large treatise on the need for faith in God to overcome faith in technology, the latter of which Stubblefield likens to Satan worship. He feels strongly that technology is a destructive force. An interesting aspect of the work is that technology is viewed as an animate force with its own will, much as the technological adversaries in the novels A Wrinkle In Time and 2001: A Space Odyssey. The text is unrelenting in its desire to save people from a downward course to impotence and godlessness. The author's zeal is apparent in every sentence, repeatedly warning us that technology will dominate us and that God will not heed us unless we reverse our chosen course.
