John Clark is a lawyer who takes pride in his family. One day, the tranquility of his life is shattered when he learns that his son, Peter, has been arrested for the murder of a woman. As a lawyer and, more importantly, as a father, John is compelled to protect his son from being railroaded. When John visits Peter, Peter is disoriented and vehemently declares his innocence.
