The Truth about the Tribulation
by Jim Lewis
WestBow Press

"But our good fortune is that God has provided all the details and answers in the Bible."

Author Lewis raises pertinent questions and offers scriptural explanations concerning the era of the Tribulation, when chaos will pervade and only God's most faithful will be saved. His research reveals that earthly history began six thousand years ago, with each thousand-year segment representing one day in God's plan. Now, Lewis states, humankind has reached the seventh day, and the Tribulation is looming: war, terror, and chaos will dominate, while true believers can still obtain forgiveness of sins and entry into Heaven.

The Tribulation is depicted in the Book of Daniel in the Holy Bible's Old Testament and extensively in the New Testament. The prophet Matthew stresses that during the Tribulation, Jesus will wield a sickle. When all souls called to repent have cast off their sins (symbolically, chaff), the worthy grasses will be harvested. Lewis finds an indication that the scriptural Antichrist, or "beast," of the coming apocalypse will be the head of the European Union. Like many false preachers and religious leaders today, the Antichrist will turn believers away from the truths that Jesus propounded, so the faithful must cling to trust in God (the Trinity) and seek forgiveness and purity of heart to be among the saved.

Lewis, a world traveler and retired US Army veteran, has a bachelor's degree in church music, has served as a church music director, and recently retired from work as a computer technician. This range of experience clearly underpins his development of this treatise, weighted with biblical quotations and concluding with a sequence of events predicting that the age of the Antichrist began in the 1940s when Israel became a national entity. The author's presentation and his forceful yet empathetic wordcraft will doubtless appeal to both sincere Christians and those seeking answers to basic questions about spiritual inheritance and eternal biblical truths.
