Ghosts: Another Summer in the Old Town
by Randy Cribbs
OCRS, Inc.

"Her eyes popped open and she scolded Sean. 'You best stay 'way from that place. There's evil there. You hear me now.'"

Matt, Jenny, and Sean are back for another thrilling, perhaps haunting summer adventure There's just one catch: these sixth graders are now a few years older and have their drivers license. Some things, however, never change. For instance, Matt still hasn't garnered up the courage to tell Jenny he likes her, despite Jenny dropping hint after hint. Now that Sean is back, things are bound to change.

In Cribbs' latest installment, Matt has secured a job working at the Old Jail, famous for being haunted, while Sean works at a pharmacy near the Tolomato Cemetery a place that no one, not even the bravest of souls, dares to approach. Instead of Riley and the bullies, the trio is up against a much stronger, supernatural force; call it ghosts, spirits, poltergeists, whatever you want, there is clearly some evil lurking. The book is full of spirits stuck in the in-between, a bizarre palm reader, and characters' experiences with the paranormal. Honeyman and Samuel, likely the most knowledgeable duo in St. Augustine, admit that ghosts are not a figment of the imagination.

Curiosity spikes within Matt, Jenny, and Sean; they must get to the bottom of these ghostly occurrences, both in the cemetery and at the Old Jail. This is when they uncover some uneasy truths about tragic events of the past; events that link Matt, Sean, and Jenny to the spirits that are stuck in-between. True friendship is put to the test. Can they solve the mysterious incidents of the past and present and save these spirits from limbo? Cribbs once again takes readers on a ride into historic St. Augustine, Florida with tantalizing descriptions and a savory plot.
